To connect:

winboard -zp -ics -icshost nightmare-chess.nl -icshelper timeseal -fcp ENGINE.exe -fd ENGINEFOLDER -autoKibitz

(for UCI engines, add -fUCI)

I skip this time. Source code in huge rewrite.
Don't want to participate with an old version because it would play the same as before.

Currently sendmail of the server is not functional, so commands like mailstored won't work. Our provider changed something in the way security works on their SMTP server(s) and that effectively broke something. However, mail requests are queued and probably will go through when this is fixed.

Maybe do a monthly perft competition for those who have their engine not ready to play games.

O wait if you do a good rewrite computing a perft already a problem.

Anyone is successful with playing on the server using Banksia ?
I can connect with Minic account, no problem.
I can register Minic as an engine and play against it locally.
But I cannot make Minic play game on the server (works with xboard by the way).

I probably missed something ... Any help will be appreciated

I tried it some time ago with v0.22 and v0.23 and could not get it to work either. Logon works, matching somebody didn't do anything at all, no error messages or warnings, it looks like it is not implemented at all. Banksia looks very fancy but under the hood it still contains a lot of bugs.

Great tourny, thanks, and helped me find a stupid bug.

One of those ones where something random was in the code - god knows how it got there. Anyway, have hopefully fixed and uploaded a fresh version - Francesca 0.29a

There were a few strange glitches this time, 11 rounds were planned but mamer didn't allow us to set more than 10 rounds.

I added Winter with a provisional rating of 2800, somehow his rating didn't got adjusted like it should. Somehow mamer doesn't like to have a player with an non established rating in the tourney. I have to examine Winters account files to see if they contain something that shouldn't be there.

The tourney is getting harder each month, my guess is that there were at least 10 engines with a CCRL rating of 3000 and higher.

Honey (a fork of Stockfish) clearly took first place. LczTinker (LC0 on a 2080ti), rofChade (on a 64 core thread-ripper), ArasanX and RubiChess ended on a shared second place. Belfish (another Stockfish derivative) ended third with 6.5 points out of 10.

Honey play a couple of rated games before the tourney - one to test - but also, I didn't think it would be fair to enter as unrated, I think I played 4 rated games. You might want to make that part of the process - so A. People know what to do - B they should play some rated games before being allowed to play that is some what reasonable - within 200 Elo anyway. You sent me my password about almost a year ago - today was the first time I actually was able to play - every month ,something came up. It was fun - hopefully I can make some yes. an d yes , you're right it is much tougher competition than a year ago - that's a good thing and a good time. I would be willing to be there early and help engines get rated. Also appreciate you stepping up here to help make this happen.
