What's new 2020 ?

Did I miss something or are there no new inventions after LMR and (convolutional) neural networks ?

LMR and convolutional NN are not very new either, maybe you have to invent something new.

Only have to skip some more irrelevant moves.
Only have to select a move from a list of legal moves which at least does not worsen a position.

So it should not be difficult.
