Pascal code to read a Polyglot book

Hello!

I started to convert to Pascal the source code provided on this page.

Here is pg_key.pas. I included six test positions. The program returns the expected results except for one position. :|

find_key() works as follows. The polyglot keys are store sequentially in the book. find_key() performs a half-cut search to quickly locate the key.

For the procedure move_to_string(), polyglot book stores the move in a reverse endian format. I know nothing about Pascal, but some C code may be of some use. To convert for a polyglot, first send the move to a swap_endian routine:

Can you compile and run the C code example? If yes, it is easy to run both C code and your Pascal program in debug mode, step by step then compare all variants.

I have just a quick glance and suspicion about your constant 077. My code (working with Polyglot) does not have any value like that.
