Play my Android chess sandbox?

Post by zulban »

Hello again folks. My Android game ChessCraft is now stable and awesome enough for beta testers! Click here if you're interested in playing. Here's the pitch:
Never play the same game of chess again! ChessCraft is a chess sandbox with an AI computer opponent. Customise chess boards, rules, and pieces. Play your creations against a computer opponent, or choose from one of 60 built-in chess boards in adventure mode.
In the past I've talked about chess AI in this forum. So thanks for the help:

You can see the ChessCraft faq for info about how good the AI is currently, how it works, and planned improvements. The AI isn't meant to compete with stockfish - nor could it because the editor is so flexible. However it's a ton of fun.

When I finish public tests and do a proper release, I'll be writing about the computer science (especially graph theory) which I used for such a flexible AI. I'll also be releasing my art assets creative commons or public domain.

Let me know what you all think! Thanks.
