I may not make it back in time from the Rugby. If I start Lozza and you need to make up the numbers could she be included please. I'll probably be back part way through.

No prob if not of course - I realise the beauty and strength of these tournaments is active participation...

Is it possible to join the tournament using Arena instead of winboard? I haven't installed winboard and know that Arena can also connect to Internet Chess Servers.

This is not recommended. I seem to recall people had problems starting new games with Arena on this ICS. But I suppose you can test it before the tourney, and if it works...

Nice tourney, as usual!

Before the tourney started zurichess lost one game against floyd after leading with +4p (confirmed with stockfish).

Black disastrous play started around move 44 and continue for a few more moves losing the game. Lichess analysis https://en.lichess.org/3Qze82vY. I tried understanding the mistake using stockfish, but failed due to some heavy pruning at low depths. Could anyone (with more chess experience than me) provide an insight what tactical mistake my engine did here?

Yes very funny event for the community !
I'm happy for the good result of Isa , and his first draw vs Lozza :)
Folkert (Embla) must be happy too , Embla seems well improved now , and I noticed a pretty deep search sometimes .
See you next month !
