Hi all
I've read about the notchess engine in this url:
http://www.maths.nott.ac.uk/personal/an ... ompch.html
But the link from which anyone is suppossed to download the engine doesn't work
ftp://notchess/
I've googled for it but none of the links I've found work so far.
Has anybody any extra info about this engine?
Regards
E Diaz

Hello:
NotChess engine.
The author is Andy Walker and the engine was written in C. I suppose that you already read it, but I want to put my grain of salt. It looks really difficult find any info of this engine.

Thanks for the info Jesús
Actually the wiki was one of the sites where I found info abuot this engine:http://chessprogramming.wikispaces.com/NotChess
Sorry for not mentioning it in my first post.
But, as you say, getting the source code seems to be quite a different thing.
I'll keep searching and post any new I get.

Re: Looking for an engine: notchess
I contacted the autor of the engine and he kindly told me that simplicity of the original engine was lost, and that the "new" version (already ten years old) is not "at the moment" for public use.
