I was surprised to find that inspite of that problem movei never translated a mate position to draw by the 50 move rule or to repetition in 100 games that I played.
I tried to implement principle variation search and internal iterative deepening but for some reason they seem not work for me(I did not try in games and gave up when I did not get a significant positive change in results of test suites).

I decided to give null window searches another try. This time it is working very well. I will have some match results to post in a few hours.
Two conditions were added before doing the null window search, (eval <= alpha && beta - 1 > alpha). I do not remember having used these conditions before. Anyway it is working well, now!
