Winter is Coming (Amoeba, Beef, Combusk, Demoli, Fab, Halogen, Koivi, Lc0, Marvin, Minic, Nemori, Orion, Pedone, Winter)

Post by Angle »

I started a new tournament yesterday.

Intel i7-8750H-Quad, Windows 10.
Arena 3.5.1, TC 20s+3s, Ponder off.
2 cycles, 46 rounds,
All engines except Orion use 4 CPU

Minic and Nemorino play without NNUE (they are way too strong for this tournament with NNUE).
Marvin 4.0.0 plays with MultiPV = 3 (for unknown reasons it is unstable with MultiPV = 1 or 2).

After round 8:

A great start by new versions of Winter, Combusken, Koivisto, and FabChess
Halogen is trying his best in a very tough company

Thank you for your kind words! I will update results every 7-8 tours.

May be it would be interesting for you if I include Wasp to this tourney (say versions 4.00 and 3.75)? I believe the level of Wasp is optimal for this setup.

Hi,

no, no ... not for us.
Maybe for the next tourney you organice?
... if you like with the current Wasp 4.00.

Nice engines and different versions is really a nice idea!!
If I can give send a wish ...
put the Beef 0.22 version if you have inside.
So we can looking for different here too but again ... all is fine for me.

For today Beef versions 0.2, 0.2.2, and 0.3.6 are nearly equal in my tests. I will add 0.2 and 0.2.2 after the end of the initial tourney.
