As long as you don't suggest moves or discuss lines, I think so (for instance, Nelson Hernandez was kibitzing on the games of the World Correspondence Chess Championship at Rybka Forum, mainly about his database statistics, but he was commenting on the positions without hinting about what moves would be played or what lines to expect).

Maybe a 5 move delay would be in order to remove some of the restrictions on what can be talked about.

I would say yes as long as you are not suggesting what we should play next, just looking at alternatives to what we play etc....

If anyone is wondering why we are playing this game see this thread http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72084

[pgn]1. g4 d5 2. g5 e5[/pgn]

Lot's of possible moves here. I briefly looked at h6 and e6 but e5 looks the most natural. g5 was not a move I was expecting so will be interesting.

The first occurance I have of 2.g5 was by Henry Grob played in 1964. That makes it an appropriate move to play in this game!

I don't have the whole game though only the reference. Anyone have the game or an earlier game with this move?

Regards,

Regards

Who is Dylan Sharp?

Never mind. Just another pseudonym for Ovyron.

Stockfish-dev says -1.18 at depth 60. This is with Analysis Contempt = off.
