Not at all. Two instances of RomiChess are pitted against each other and both start off with an empty learn file. One instance of Romi was named RomiKarpov and the other was named RomiKasparov. Then each was merged with the appropriate pgn file Karpov.pgn or Kasparov.pgn. The rest is up to the two Romi's to sort out. The learnfile selects the 'best' lines and the learning varies the play from one game to the next.
