vs Houdini 5 Tactical 12CPU: SF dev scored 67%, SF8 scored 61%

Very impressive results so far. Next up is vs newly released Komodo 11.2 12CPU.

Yes...one could make the remark that the only reason the current release of Komodo - 11.2.1 might be ahead of the current release version of Stockfish...is that Team K has 'official releases' more often.

To be apples to apples, Komodo 11.2.1 needs to be compared to Stockfish 8.xx...so these 'development version' tests are always enlightening as to the true current state of the Komodo vs Stockfish debate.

They are free, by the way....and you can test them...

Yes I should have said July 8 2017. Here in the U.S. we list the month first then the day then the year so that confused me.

It was so close I decided to run another 100 games:


1 Stockfish 080717 64 POPCNT 12 +17 +23/=59/-18 52.50% 52.5/100
2 Komodo 11.2 64-bit 12CPU -17 +18/=59/-23 47.50% 47.5/100

So after 200 games between these two Stockfish dev scored 102/200, K11.2 scored 98/200.
