Post by fauzi »

Hello dears,

Anybody know why Ipon Rating list is not testing Komodo 10.3 yet?

Most probably, Komodo 10.3 doesnt support old AMD hardware. Ipon guy uses a 20 years old 1 core AMD processor.😃

Hello

Please check point 7 of the conditions - maybe the new point 13 is even more important! :-)

Phenom2 + Piledriver = exactly what I use, and I'm very happy with them, especially the older X6. I hope they go for a few more years yet !

Yes point 13 is important - only 2 months since the last version, and I often think it is a bit unfair to other authors who are waiting in the queue to have their engine tested. I'd rather test alternate Komodo versions, but of course there is a great deal of interest in the top of the list.

That is why I made and will make exceptions. As an example I tested 10.1 on 2016.07.23 earlier than 3 monthes because it was the ICGA WC.

It is about 10€.

In general that is ok, it forces people to think about their energy consumption. It only hurts if your hobby is wasting energy ... testing engines ... (and I testing much more than I publish!)

But even if it would be 5€, it is more the amount of test I like to make which really hurts. My energy supplier already sends letters about "How to save energy", not knowing what I am doing :-)

35kW is not correct. Maybe you mean 35kWh.

Yes that seems to be correct. When I was fully running RWBC on 2 machines
(including the broadcasts) for several years the energy consumption was around 700 kw/h per year!

Thx Peter and Günter,

The "h" is corrected.

Actually 35 is even a little low maybe 38 would be better but I sticked with the 35 because it sums up to nice 10€.
