There are a few inaccuracies in the Arena "table" window:

5930K is @ 4.5GHz, not 3.5

OS is Win 7 Professional (needed to support the 64 GB RAM), not Home Premium.

I hope people are enjoying the tournament. Sorry about the WireCast watermark and annoying audio, but it cost $495 to purchase the software!

I don't have Komodo 9 but I must say I'm surprised to see SF dev having about the same nps than K. I remember in the TCEC that K had a lower nps for the fist move or 2 moves and then it would be way above SF.

There does seem to be a lot of improvement for both engines. Very impressive improvement rate, Houdini 4 is getting left in the dust and showing its age, with less than a 33% score so far. But H4 has beaten SF a few times, something K9 has not done yet, to my surprise.

BTW, the Stockfish version being used was compiled using the BYO version 2011 tool. Maybe that helps a little bit.

A few notes on the "tournament":

Wirecast uses about 10% of the CPU resources.

HT is on, to keep the computer from being sluggish, as I am also using it occasionally (minor stuff like reading this forum).

That said, almost 50% CPU usage of the 12 total threads with HT on is for the active engine, and 10% for the Wirecast, so 60% total being utilized. Maybe a few more % here and there for other stuff. I guess I could have setup for 5 core engines with HT off, or use Process Lasso, but I wanted to also test my new build, yet not so extreme that I get a blue screen when away from monitoring it and ruin the YouTube viewing experience.

I guess it should even out, but I don't claim this is a controlled tournament without some variables. However, I hope at least a few of you are finding it entertaining to watch...except for those damn watermarks!
