49TH AMATEUR SERIES (Division 3)

Intel i5 Quad
ChessGUI
256mb hash each
3-4-5 piece tablebases
Ponder off
GBDC122013.cgb book
40 moves in 25 minutes repeating (adapted for the CCRL)
4 cycles 52 rounds
All engines 64-bit 1CPU (where available)
The top engine will gain automatic promotion and the bottom engine will gain automatic relegation. Any other changes of division will be at my discretion and may not necessarily involve playoff matches.

Alternatively, if you install TLCV (Tom's Live Chess Viewer) on your computer, you can watch the games live move by move. You'll also be able to chat to others following the tournament in the chatroom there.

I see some tough engines here, but my bet is on iCe

Yes, it would have been good to have had iCE in Division 2, as I think it could well be too dominant in this division,
The gauntlet that I'm running for iCE (in port 16064) should be more of a challenge.

Thanks for the tournament!
I did not do a new version of Andscacs because I'm rewriting it from zero. It's too difficult to improve it now; it has too many suboptimal things.
Of course I will need some months :-)

No problem Daniel. Andscacs 0.64 64-bit should do well in this division anyway.
Looking forward to an all new Andscacs once it is ready. 8-)
