Here Are 3 More Strelka 5.7 MP x64 Matches For You

Post by geots »

I suppose I need to get Yuri's first attempt at Strelka 5.7 MP. He is adamant that it is likely stronger than this 3rd and latest version. The only thing I am sure of is that we are not nearly looking at the last beta- nor are we looking at the final version.

Still no explanation for the 1st dramatic score- as they were all good wins. But these 3 matches are a little more what one might look at as realistic. There will be more to follow in the coming days.

(Last match of the 3 played on the XPS 8500 Intel i5 4Core system.)

Yes, George, please ask Yuri if he can provide his first version for testing. I am still unsure which "easily Top 10" engine served as your first opponent to Strelka 5.7 MP. :?:

George, knowing that Strelka 5.1 was just a clone of Houdini 1.5a (it has the same evaluation and search but Ivanhoe-like surrounding management code), what exactly is so impressive about the performances you show above?

Robert, we're both thieves.
I went through the Rybka code forwards and backwards and took many things.

Nothing is impressive, Robert. They are just results. I guess sort of like Komodo. Not that it is strong right now, just that he finally started an MP is most of the interest.

As for what A took from B, or B took from C, or C took from D- I would likely be the last person to be able to answer that.

All the best,

george

Hi Osipov.

Could you please post your latest strongest program so we can get on with our important testing. 5.5 was a nice improvement over 5.0.

Best to you,
Gerold.

The Latest Intel i5 4-Core Strelka 5.7 MP x64 Match!

Post by geots »

I believe Strelka 5.7 MP will improve with future releases, just based on the fact that on 1 Core- Strelka 5.6 beat this same Ivanhoe 31-5!

BTW, to follow this result I will roll the chair over to the Intel i7 and post the results from a 4-Core match between Strelka MP and RobboLito 0.21Q.

XPS 8500 Intel i5
w/4 True Cores
Fritz 13 gui
4Cores/64bit
128MB hash
Bases=NONE
Ponder_Learning=OFF
Perfect 2012b.ctg w/12-move limit
4m+2s Blitz
Match=50 games

Code: Select all

XPS-i5, Blitz 4m+2s  6/5/2013

Strelka 5.7 MP x64   +14    +9/=34/-7   52.00%   26.0/50
Ivanhoe 46h x64      -14    +7/=34/-9   48.00%   24.0/50
