This was quite a nice effort by Equinox, so I thought it should not go unnoticed. If one was to assume that Stockfish has a version that is much improved since 2.3.1, then I would safely put Equinox now at No. 5 in the world, neck and neck with Ivanhoe 46h (not to be confused with IvanHoe 9.46h for sure). Outside of possibly Stockfish, I don't think I need to tell you who the other 3 engines are.
This is quite likely to be my last match published for a few days, as I am tied up trying to get a new Aurora R4 Alienware Intel i7 6-core system all set up to play some chess.
And let me be clear- any engine that has the capability to score 43% against Critter for 100 games, and to play neck and neck with the strongest Ivanhoe in existence in his own "blitz backyard"- is an engine to be reckoned with.
Let me add one thing to keep an issue from being complicated- when it actually isn't at all. The figures I quoted, "Number this and Number that" in the world depends on a testing groups' POV. We still have some who just cannot bite the bullet and go ahead and test Strelka. Completely their business, and I don't care. "My list" would CERTAINLY include Strelka 5.5 and 5.6. Add Strelka, and Equinox might fall back one notch. But in the end- it doesn't matter- because all engines are subject to being caught and passed- the question is just "when".

Then we have to start the hunt for Critter
Joke, of course, Critter is a really strong and stable, it is very hard to get close to it.
Our best result against it, after 5000 (30"+3") games is -14 Elo points but the same version does not go so well against other engines.
Best
Have no fear, Giancarlo. In time, we will catch him. You give me excellent executable betas to work with. It's just a matter of time. You improve your engine the old-fashioned way- hard work!
