Very nice tournament, Graham! I might've liked Deep Junior instead of Gull, but what a line-up!

What I find interesting, and very ironic, is that right on the heels of the Rybka bashing (and based on a woefully short match), we now have a situation where Houdini is struggling, and Rybka is playing/scoring very well...

The biggest surprise so far, and I know it's quite early, is how Vitruvius has done. Perhaps it's more than just an Ivanhoe look-alike... and I really hope that's the case! If someone could do wonders with the Ippolit source, why couldn't others get there eventually, too, even if slower at first?

Best regards,
CL

Thanks Carl.

Early days of course and Houdini plays all of its games as Black first.
It might therefore improve big time during the second half of the tournament. Should be interesting. :)
