The grand unified rating list November 2012

Post by Vinvin »

I generate the list a bit more soon this month because of the Houdini 3 release !

Time control is about 30 sec to 2 min per move on an AMD 2 Ghz.

Games from CEGT, CCRL, WBEC, SWCR, Chess War, Mega FREEWARE and CountryChess.
Generated with Bayeselo and Ordo 0.6.

Don't forget to look at the error bar (+ and -) !
- If there's no "n-CPU" info, it's 1 CPU.
- If there's no "n-bit" info, it's 32 bit.

All games from players with too few games or meaningless results were removed with Ordoprep.

Total games 1'401'852
White wins 519'475
Draws 488'341
Black wins 394'036
No result 0
Unique head to head 15.41%
Reference rating 2810.0 (set to "Spike 1.2")

Ordo 0.6 : http://home.scarlet.be/vincentlejeune/r ... 121028.txt

It's still some outstanding questions :

1) Are "WChess 1.06" and "WChess 1.6" the same version (and what's the best name ?) ?
2) What's the meaning of "WD" in "Zappa Mexico II WD 64-bit" ?
3) Are "GNUChess 4.0.80_tm" and "GNUChess 4-TM" the same version ?
4) Are "Micro-Max 4.8 (DM-PII)" and "Micro-Max 4.8" the same version ?

For Micro-Max 4.8, there are 4 versions on the lists :

Code: Select all

Micro-Max 4.8_PII 2054 - 232 games
Micro-Max 4.8 (DM-PII) 2011 - 541 games
Micro-Max 4.8 1963 - 562 games
Micro-Max 4.8m 1946 - 299 games
Thanks for your answers !

Micro-Max 4.8 1963 - 562 games
Micro-Max 4.8m 1946 - 299 games

Sorry for enforcing myself into your thread, but I can answer the second question.......

Zappa Mexico II WD is a personality created by me and kindly tested at the time by GEGT.........

Unfortunately,it didn't show any remarkable improvement, just a slightly different style of play......

Fortunately though,4 months ago I started to test a new personality of Zappa Mexico II called Zappa Mexico II Wizard which turns to be much stronger than the default.........I am witnessing a remarkable jump in Elo just by altering 4 parameters in the UCI command window 8-)

I'll send this tunned version to a certain group of people to test it and then release to the public....

This not just a slightly improved Zappa Mexico II....You can consider it as whole new release bearing in mind it's performance thus far....

Code: Select all

Micro-Max 4.8_PII 2054 - 232 games
Micro-Max 4.8 (DM-PII) 2011 - 541 games
Micro-Max 4.8 1963 - 562 games

Denis Mendoza made some compiles of Micromax that were up to 50% faster than the official ones. Micro-Max 4.8_PII and Micro-Max 4.8 (DM-PII) may be the same

I found a not well renamed engine : "Komodo64 SSE Version 4". I'll correct soon.

Thanks, Ray, I'll merge both.
