Hello Olivier,
Looking forward to follow this tournament .
Is there a reason why Umko 1.2 is participating in OpenWar and not in chessWar? It's just a question; I thought that Umko is known as derivative engine. I ask this cause I am thinking about which engines I'll allow in my own countrychess tournament, and which not.
Best regards,
Geert

Thanks, I hope this will be an entertaining event
Yes Umko was deleted from ChessWar for being a derivative. I talked with the author before taking the decision, and he agreed.
When I got his registration request for OpenWar, I decided to accept it because unlike in ChessWar, Umko does not take the seat of any other engine. You may argue that my position is not consistent, and you may be right

Thanks Olivier. I was just wondering and since Umko is allowed in your tournament, I'll keep this program in competition as well
