19th Amateur Series Division 7

Post by Graham Banks »

19TH AMATEUR SERIES (Division 7)

Intel Q6600 Quad Core
ChessGUI
128mb hash each
3-4-5 piece tablebases
Ponder off
HS-Large Remis book (limited to 12 moves)
40 moves in 32 minutes repeating (adapted for the CCRL)
4 cycles 44 rounds
All engines 32-bit 1CPU
Due to some engines being ineligible for the next series unless new versions come out, the top five engines will likely gain automatic promotion and there will likely be no automatic relegation. The fate of the sixth top engine and the bottom engine (perhaps others also) are likely to be determined by grading matches before the next series.

The games will be available for download after every two rounds from there.

Thanks for running the tournament!

I'm sure that Jabba will become a formidable opponent as you develop it further. :)
Don't get discouraged. I'm sure that many appreciate your efforts.

Cheers,
Graham.

Hi Graham,

Slibo will be updated again to 0.5.1 very soon. Engine is hanging in memory
after a game in Winboard. No engine strength changes just bugfix,
so no need to replay games. Slibo is also competing in qualifying in WBEC
tournament and Leo has been sending me bug reports.

Jim.

Thanks for the heads up Jim. We'll just rename it to Slibo 0.5.1 when that version is released.

Cheers,
Graham.
