A couple of the Robb version were equal to Tankist 1.2. The
others were weaker. This is the 32 bit.i have been testing.
The latest Firebird appears to be the same as Taskist.1.2.

Firebird beta vs. Tankist 1.2 30/59 11-10-38.
Tankist 1.2 vs. Firebird beta 29/59 10-11-38.
Blitz 15/0.

Gerold.
Hi Gerold,

Tankist 1.2 is a clone of RL 0.085e4. Analyze a position with both engines and you will notice it.

Best,
Carlos
Yes i know that it is suppose to be a clone of the first RL .
Point i am making is there has been no improvement to be
better than Tankist 1.2 which was one of the first in this
family.

The talk about how it is improving i can't see it happening
not in the win.32 version.

Best,
Gerold.

P.S.
I only run Engine vs. Engine or play the Engine myself.
How do you analyze a position in Arena.Arena is the program
i use to run my games.

Hi Gerold

I think it is best you don't waste your time with this engine. It is just another Robbo.... renamed

Thank you I think i will delete both Robbo and all its family as
they seem to be a waste of time.

I may keep Tankist because it appears to be the strongest
engine at this time.

Best,

Gerold. :)

Being a RL 0.085e4 clone, is indeed strong. Later versions g3 and 0.09 are a little better IMO.

Ok, you need to choose one engine first to analyze. Then go to Position > Set-up a position copy the fen of the position to be analyzed, let's say this:

r2rqbk1/p1n3p1/1p1pPpPp/P1p2P2/6Q1/2N1B1P1/1P4K1/R6R w - - 0 1

Then ok and click on Analyze and the engine selected will be analyzing the position infinitely.

very interesting. that suggests the kinghunter parameters may actually be genuine.

Amazing result by Toby. This was with HyperTal=ON I guess.

At least it is not an identical clone of RL.

+3 =1 -1 with rybka settings at contempt 0
