Chess960 Ratings List update - DanaSah 4.20

Post by Spock »

See the updated lists here

http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/40 ... _pure.html
(pure list)

DanaSah 4.20 ran 100% reliably under ChessGUI, very pleasing

Frenzee Feb08 is in progress, still a few more matches to run for than. Then it will be Bright 0.4a

It has been a busy time for the FRC list recently. With ChessGUI supporting X-Fen, Shredder Fen, UCI and Winboard, compared to Shredder GUI which was just UCI+Shredder-Fen, suddenly I had a whole lot more engines to test

Hi Ray,
in the Bright 0.4a thread, I mention a castling bug that weakens BigLion.
However, you don't need to replay any games when I shall fix that.
I hope you noticed that ChessGUI 0.145 fixes the memory issue.
Best,
Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Yes I saw the Bright thread, thanks. I haven't tried 0.145 yet, will make the change when the current matches have finished later today :)

Ray, Thanks for the test.

Now that the engine is stable, I should not play openings as a4 and then Ra3 :-)

[d]rbknbrqn/ppppp1pp/8/5p2/P7/R7/1PPPPPPP/1BKNBRQN b Kkq - 1 2

DanaSah 3.56 played in an exhibition against a GM, there were a few laughs from some players in the audience.

A few moves later ...

[d]rbk2r1n/1ppppqpp/p1n5/5p2/P7/R5N1/1PPPPPPP/2KNBRQ1 w Kkq - 0 6

Here DanaSah played Nxf5 (knight can not be eaten by Rf3) and although black is enough compensation for the pawn, with good defense DanaSah win.

Best,

Pedro

a4 is certainly an interesting opening line in that position :o

Hi Ray!,

are you stopped FRC with Tornado 2.2 ? i see only 2.1.41a in the list.
i think that version 2.2 become high elo and place on the list, think behind hamsters or more...

Engin

Hi there,

I haven't started 2.2 yet but I will get to it. I'm concentrating on completely new engines to the list first (Bright is next) before then picking up new versions of existing ones
