CEGT 40/20 update (June 10th 2007)

Post by Werner »

Hi all :) ,

Our newest rating lists and games for download are now online. All links at the end of the posting as usual.

40/20
First time listed engines in CEGT are Loop M1-T 2CPU, Glaurung Epsilon/4 2CPU and Franceska MAD 0.11. All these engines have only few games and therefore a high errorbar.

Loop M1-T 2CPU
This version of the new Loop engines has played 284 games and is now the strongest version (besides of an old beta with only 100 games). We will see next week if the engine can score again so well.

Glaurung 2 Epsilon/4 2CPU
The new engine from Tord Romstad got a little bit too high start-rating. But 2800 elos are 50 more than for Glaurung 1.2.1 2CPU. A very interesting engine. Perhaps we will list it too in our 40/120 list in the future as Glaurung 2.0.

Genius 7
The new Genius 7 engine got only 40 games more and lost some points.

Loop M1-P 2CPU
This Loop-version has now 549 games and a more stable rating of 2853 which is very close to LoopMP 12.32 2CPU.

Francesca MAD 0.11
This older version of Francesca played only 132 games till now. Hope we will find some testers in CEGT playing also the newer version 0.13.

Of course there are a lot of games with other engines (e.g. Colossus) I cannot mention here. So if you are interested have a look in our lists.

Yesterday there was also an update of our 40/120 list with more games for DeepFritz 10, Naum2.1 x64 and Zap!Chess Zanzibar.

A big thanks to all testers as usual.

Hi Werner,

Are you testing Hiarcs 11.1 2CPU at 40/120 ? That would be extremely interesting

No,
we have only 17 elos difference between the 2 Hiarcs versions on CEGT 40/20 - so its not interesting.

Fair enough - although a 20 ELO gain would move it up 2 places on the ratings list :)

I'm not sure this is what he was talking about, but on this page:
http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/40_4_Ra ... gliste.htm
the link to the 40/20 list is still shown as the 40/40 Ratinglist. Also, when that link is opened, or the same link on other pages labeled 40/20, the tab shows "Rating 40/40".
