Re: Top Engines are still too materialistic they need the if else then statement
Sorry that I forgot to clarify the use of the if else logic sequence, but not the C++ programming code, which could follow this logic if Ba4+ ==>( Kxa4==> b3+ Kb5==>c4+==>Kc6==>d5+==>Kd7==>e6+ either Kxd8 else Kc8 or Ke8) then f5 = 1/2. :Spliffjiffer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:12 pm the modern nets "prunned this knowledge away" imo....u can look eg for older nets by Sergio...eg: "20200724-1240.bin"
it will solve this puzzle instantly as well as Gusev's 24.Qxe5 for example...the nets that SF currently uses are peaked on the basis of playing-strength currently and are not designed to solve puzzles....u can find all nnue nets by Sergio here if u like to test it:
https://www.comp.nus.edu.sg/~sergio-v/nnue/
or if (condition1) {
// block of code to be executed if condition1 is true
} else if (condition2) {
// block of code to be executed if the condition1 is false and condition2 is true
} else {
// block of code to be executed if the condition1 is false and condition2 is false
} then {
// block of code to be executed if the condition of the expected moves are executed giving a draw result 1/2
Of course this is just the logic but NOT the C++ programming code. The point is the top engines should always look for sacrificing material and check for further consequence of that sacrifice instead of of being too materialistic NOT to give material away in losing positions. :roll

Chessqueen has a habit of posting on talkchess about not knowing how to use specific engines or analysis programs. Today it is Stockfish derivatives such as Crystal and Sugar, a few days ago it is the recently released Igel 3.0. They ought to do some research by themselves before asking the community, especially when the same question is asked each time, only about a different engine.

I have no problem with Stockfish derivatives such as Crystal and sugar, I just simply saying that none of them could could my puzzle in +M7, therefore the outcome is no different than Stockfish 13 NNUE, and as for Igel 3.0 it is working just fine on my intel i7 4770 3.40 GHz. Please stop throwing wood into my fire unless you want me to go to sleep as happy as a BabyMadeleine Birchfield wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 3:22 am Chessqueen has a habit of posting on talkchess about not knowing how to use specific engines or analysis programs. Note: As you can see Igel 3.00 does NOT have any issues with my computer
