Hiarcs 15 - when

When will a new version of Hiarcs be released.

It was planned to be released in 2019, then in 2020 and then in Spring 2021.

And now? What is the latest state?

I'd say it is active, but very, very frustrated. They seem to have a release schedule but it keeps getting delayed. On the forum there is a guy there who gives updates every so often. A new bug fix came out a few weeks ago.

Sounds to me like it's the new UI holding stuff up.

Similar with shredder.

It makes no sense anymore for serious chess programmers to come out with an original chess engine while the rest clones stockfish (ideas).

Thats why shredder and hiarcs are not Updated. Shredder was not updated even when it won championships.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....

Shredder is supposed to be released this year, but it should also be released already in 2018

Very very disappointing

Incredible

Unbelievable

Insolence

No one should buy Shredder when it comes out.

If I were creating an original chess engine why would I be stopped just because others were cloning Stockfish?

Stockfish itself primarily, but then the derivatives as well.

Probably the longer you wait the better Hiarcs you will get, since you will get what was going to be Hiarcs 15 back in 2019, and Hiarcs 16 in 2020, so when you finally get Hiarcs 15 it will be like getting Hiarcs 17 for the same price. A veces es mejor esperar. Now start getting some woods, since I need to keep this fire going for a while :lol: :mrgreen: :roll:
