Sure can.
Air pouring out the fan, AMD box, 35C. Whereas, i7 box, 27C. AMD has liquid cooling system with a big radiator.
Can somebody compare the AMD Ryzen processors to the intel processors

"The large pages will be an engine UCI parameter for engines that support them."
Therefore, I can conclude that neither SF nor Dragon by Komodo support large pages>

As an AMD fanboy:
I have a ThinkPad w/Ryzen7 4800U + 16 GB DDR5 Dual channel + 256 GB M.2 super fast SSD.
I have 1 TB external HDD for backups. Might buy another SSD if it's faster/better.
My Ryzen's 16 CPUs are sitting at 0-2% all the time. Never swapping.
My old crappy Intel i3 was throttling high pitch all the time. I got tired of that crabby Intel CPU and sold it.
I only write code with Vim.
So my usage isn't very high.
Dunno about chess. When testing Mayhem engine. I hear CPU fan throttling. But I'm done w/ chess anyway.
I can play hours Xonotic w/ full graphics and hear no throttling. That's strange.
But everything is superfast. Current kernel: Linux 5.8.0-50-generic x86_64

This baby is mine: https://www.lenovo.com/fi/fi/laptops/th ... 2TPE14E4A2
I checked yes: DDR4-3200MHz 8 GB soldered + 8 GB installed. Dual channel is good for AMD. Intel doesn't care about them I guess.
I bought my ThinkPad from the biggest Finnish HW store: www.verkkokauppa.com I own stocks of this company too
It has a Ryzen 7 4800U. Because this was the CPU I wanted. Checked w/ lscpu
When I need umpf there better be horsepower.
However I could have gotten some Ryzen 4800H w/ Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti gaming laptop for the exactly same price I paid for this.
But I wanted a ThinkPad.
There was some 4600H + GTX 1650 gaming laptop in outlet for 50% price. Was considering seriously that too.
But I wanted a ThinkPad.
