Bluefish v13

Post by fishpov »

b5 !
[d]8/p6p/4P2p/p3K1pP/pPk5/p2r2p1/P5R1/8 w - - 0 1

Bluefish v13 is the first engine to find, in short time, this position !
I think if the fortress detection will be implemented again for bluefish it should be the champion for Hard-Talkchess-2020

I was skeptical at first and wanted to give Crystal a try. Indeed, it doesn't seem to be able to solve this (30 min. on 14 cores).
Even then it only sees the solution after I enter some 12 moves and backtrack.

Thanks for posting, a really tough nut to crack.
