Easy for human, Qxc6, found within 3-5 seconds.

Well, *my* engine takes longer than that to find it!

I guess it depends on the particular instance of human and engine you chose to compare.

Hello:

Same here. Once I was aware that it is a problem, around 3-5 seconds to spot QxN on my own, specially if ..., PxQ?? follows, leading to a checkmate in three moves. If I had found this position in an own game, I problably would not have played QxN.

Regards from Spain.

What I found great in this position, is that even after the queens exchange
[pgn]
[FEN "2kr1b1r/ppp2ppp/2n5/4p3/2Q1NPq1/1P1Bn3/PBPR2PP/2K4R w - - 2 15"]
15. Qxc6 Qxg2 16. Rxg2 bxc6 17. Rd2
[/pgn]

[d] 2kr1b1r/p1p2ppp/2p5/4p3/4NP2/1P1Bn3/PBPR3P/2K4R b - - 1 17

black is still forced to capture the bishop with the rook ! the mate line is still pending because of the undevelopped black bishop.

And this alternative is still horrible for black

[pgn]
[FEN "2kr1b1r/ppp2ppp/2n5/4p3/2Q1NPq1/1P1Bn3/PBPR2PP/2K4R w - - 2 15"]
15. Qxc6 Bb4 16. Ba6 Bxd2+ 17. Nxd2 bxa6 18. Bxe5 Nd5
19. Qa8+ Kd7 20. Qxd5+ Ke8 21. Qc6+ Qd7 22. Qc3 Qxd2+
23. Qxd2 Rxd2 24. Kxd2
[/pgn]
