Is anyone able to make a Windows compile for this ? The link above only has Linux. I'd be running it on an AMD FX8350, which has popcnt and SSE4.2 and SSE4a support, but not AVX2 or BMI2. Thanks.
Try this one. Not my own compile but may be it will work:

That works, thanks !

I just released Supernova 2.3 https://github.com/MichaeltheCoder7/Sup ... s/tag/v2.3. It has gained about 120 Elo and supports Syzygy tablebases now. :D
Brilliant, congrats!

Sorry, I forgot to upload the windows binaries. You can now find one on the release section of github:
https://github.com/abulmo/Dumb/releases ... indows.zip
The 64-bits compilation is targeted to core2 cpu (and more recent ones) and do not use popcount or more sophisticated CPU instruction. On my ryzen 1 CPU, it is less than 5% slower than a native compile with full CPU support.
The 32-bits compilation is targeted to i686 cpu and less optimized (no pgo), as using 32-bits OS on a bitboard-based engine is already a huge pessimization.

Hi Guenther,

My apologies, I've deleted 1.19 now and replaced it with 2.0 which is WIP - I'll be more careful with my commit comments! I'll add a final commit saying released but it will not be for a long time yet.

Nothing to stop anybody using the WIP 2.0 releases (currently about +20 elo think) but also no need for anybody to waste their time testing it. Thanks again for what you guys do.

Marcel van Kervincks website seems gone? (https://marcelk.net)
The github site for Floyd at least is still available
https://github.com/kervinck/floyd

Here is a working archive from Wayback for Floyd (only 0.7 is available)
https://web.archive.org/web/20201106235 ... net/floyd/
(note that wayback has connection problems since several weeks on weekends)

added all original Floyd versions 0.5 - 0.9 to my download site.
https://rwbc-chess.de/download.htm

While checking some old archives of mine I could find a wayback archive for very old EXchess versions, which are still working.

https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://pc ... eople/dch/*
(if you sort by mime type you'll get all still available binaries)
3.14, 4.01, 4.02 tested and running.
2.51 does not work anymore on my WIN7

If someone still has a very old compiler and is brave enough, he could try recompiling the 2.51 src from here (inside a collection).
http://kirr.homeunix.org/chess/engines/ ... thing).zip
(I tried, but that became a nightmare on a modern compiler)

From the CPW it seems he passed away May of 2020. Never had a chance to meet him but have high respect for him.

It seems I missed this bad news :(

His website is online, but you have to enable the deprecated TLS 1.0/1.1 to view it, at least in Firefox.
