Chess variant idea

Post by CRoberson »

This adds more "_____" to chess.
How about introducing a doubling cube as in backgammon. Every 10 moves, you have the option of doubling the bet. If the money gets too high for you, you back out and lose the game.

Not a new idea, I recall having played with that rule long ago, except no 10 move restriction, option open at any time (but doubler loses draws and other side gets the right to double).
Komodo rules!
