I have a friend in Poland who is not able to access CCC.
I remember that there was some European access problem a while back.
Maybe it did not get fixed for Poland

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Hi Dann, I confirm that. Here in Poland we cannot access Talkchess.com since May (AFAIR). What I'm doing now is I'm connecting via proxy.

Guys, I'm bumping this thread as the issue hasn't been solved yet. Users from Poland still cannot acces Talkchess.com. Can you (mods) make this thread sticky until the issue is solved?

It would be interesting to hear the tricks used by members here who were able to connect and post.
Pay for a vpn subscription? use a free proxy server? use a browser with built-in proxy?
Of course, this implies you are outside U.S. because members who are using US ISP can connect here easily due to
firewall rules of the web hosting service being used by talkchess.

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

I have the impression that this forum would be only for US citizens.

The easiest way for the polish users is to install opera browser. There you can easily setup american identity.
We in Germany and other countries also once had to do so, be auseinander they threw us out.
It’s childish.
But do we have an alternative ?

Thank you for your answer. So I understand that the problem does not only belong to Poland but also to other countries.I understand that this is how it should be. Sorry, but strange thing.
