I am sorry, but that is a joke. SF on my 120$ Chinese phone is stronger than on your hardware.
ReallyI? I would like to see what Nodes and Depth your watch shows on the position just before SF found the 3 times repetition Draw on this game ? What brand of Chinese Cell Phone you have :?:
It's Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. It has MediaTek Helio G90T CPU with 8 cores (2x2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55). It reaches 4200knps from a starting position in the latest DroidFish.
Please provide the website where you ordered it, I will get one for myself

Dann Corbit wrote: Fri May 29, 2020 11:48 pm The statement is vague. If Stockfish is running on an iphone, I would take the GM player + knight + pawn.

If Stockfish is playing on Bojung Guo's strongest machine, I choose Stockfish.

I don't have enough data to choose anything in-between. I guess that if the GM plays anticomputer chess style, he can at least get draws.
Well none of us has the most powerful commercial IBM compatible computer the Pangea III, https://roboticsandautomationnews.com/2 ... tal/24057/
but I have a 3 years old 4 cores AMD E-2 N7100 APU with Randeon Graphics,
1.80 GHz (RAM) 16.00GB which is about 3 times faster than than the Athlon 1200 MHZ that
CCRL used to test 14 years ago. I spoke to Jorge Sammour and he told me that since he
played Komodo 13.3 with knight odds plus him removing one of his b7, c7, d7 3 weeks ago he has
played over 60 games. He told me laughing that he would not like to steal my money since he knows
that Stockfish does not play well with pieces handicap. So I got in touch with Mauricio Ruiz FIDE
rated 2257 and he told me that he used to play odds handicap when he got Mchess 8.0 rated
around 2650 by Marty Hirsch over 26 years ago. He used to remove knight plus pawn when he was
only rated around 2005 and he slowly started getting better at playing odds but he stopped playing
versus Mchess 8.0 when he reached 2247. After I heard him saying that, I immediately offered him to
play versus Stockfish 11 with knight odds at 10' + 5' on my slow system (nothing to compare with Larry
32 cores) and here is the game.

I was surprised at first that he only drew at knight odds, but then I saw it was FRC knight odds, not regular knight odds, so it makes sense. As you know, I'm a proponent of FRC knight odds, but I would never call it knight odds without mentioned FRC or 960; true knight odds is a larger handicap, both in theory and because the human is familiar with the initial position (of his own army at least!). Did you set Contempt to 100 for Stockfish? That is an absolute must for giving significant handicaps. I am confident that he would win a standard knight odds match with Stockfish on your machine even with this max Contempt setting, but not every game of course.
I probably chose a very difficult position for Mauricio to play versus Stockfish 11, I am wondering if he would have done better by simply setting up the normal standard chess position that he is familiar with and simply removing the b2 Knight. Mr. Kaufman do you believe that you can beat Stockfish 11 using 1 thread of your system with this position ?

It's a pretty good phone overall, and amazingly good for the price. I bought it in China 8 months ago (in airport duty free as part of some promotion, therefore a hefty discount from a regular Chinese price of 160$) but I think regular price in EU/UK is around 200$. Not sure if you can buy one in US.

Any phone, even $99 Redmi 8A (Qualcomm Snapdragon 439) will be faster in Droidfish than AMD E-series

I just order this AMD RYZEN CPU which will make my system twice faster and it is the simple solution for me for only $96.00

I have done this before about 12 years ago but with a different CPU from AMD, but for those that have never done it, here are the Instructions ==>

Oh no, why 1200, it's an old generation CPU? Its price is a total ripoff for the performance it offers. You have better new Ryzens appearing these days and very affordable. Like Ryzen 3 3100 for 99$ or just slightly more expensive (120$ https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... _core.html) and twice more powerful Ryzen 3 3300X. It's gonna start shipping in couple of days.

Thanks I will replace the other AMD Ryzens CPU one on my 8 years old AMD Computer and this one on my newer AMD computer I am still saving by just replacing the CPUs and NOT both computers :D

MR. Milos I was thinking for over 2 hours and came to the conclusion that even if you have a system that is twice faster than my like your Chinese cell phone if you replay this game from move 4 on even half of the moves with your Droid Fish and Chinese Cell, you will not get more than probably 10 moves which will be different because some of the moves were force by Stockfish 11, by Mauricio having an extra Knight. I would like you to do an experiment and replay this game with your Chinese Cell phone and let me know how many moves were different after the 4 moves on this game
