@F. Huber

Glory days.

The goal should be that Mark V is able to play 13.Kh1 or 13.Rae1 in game 2.

[d]1rb1k1nr/4ppbp/3p2p1/qpp5/3nPP1N/pPNPB1P1/P1PQ2BP/R4RK1 w k - 1 13

After 13.e5 ?? Mark V lost a piece with 13...Qxc3! 14.Qxc3 Ne2+ 15.Kf2 Nxc3

Please make it real that Mark V plays 13.Kh1 or Rae1.

Hmm? What a strange idea to think that I could (or would) change anything in the emulator
so that the Mark V would make exactly the move that YOU prefer in a special position?
If the Mark V makes a blunder move in some situations, then just give him more time
(i.e. increase the level), otherwise you would have to change the chess program in its ROM.

At least I've now added these 2 additional CPU frequencies (4 and 6 MHz), which you can select
in the engine window in the menu 'Options > Configuration...' - new CB-Emu version is already online.
But of course I can't guarantee, that (with this higher speed) it will make just the moves you like ... ;)

Franz

Maybe the mk VI plays better.
Also the CXG sphinx is a successor of the mk V / VI but on 68000 cpu.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....

@ F. Huber

Thx a lot.

Now i understand that i wanted too much. Ikarus was too near to the sun.

The new 6 Mhz Mark V played after 20 minutes 13.b4 ? only to lose the piece one move later after 13...Qxb4 14.f5 ??

I understand that Lc0 is the better Mark V. :!:

Hi Franz !
I've downloaded again your project , wonderful with many great emuls !
I'm running a tournament with 24 oldies right now :)

And for Thomas : You must know the Mark V was the world champion in 1981 years in Travemunde , so , it is a little bit old . You can try the Tasc R40 ,or all the Lang's Mephisto . There are many Kittinger's jewels as well : Superconny , Expert , Constellation etc ...

I'm a "real machines" collector , and the Franz project is just a dream for us
all the best
