As I am not familiar with Java based engines, can someone please instruct me how to use this beautiful chess engine under Fritz GUI ?
Thanks in advance,
Dr.D
Anyone ?
Hi Wael,
No good news. I tried several times but I have yet to find a way to use chess22k under the Fritz GUI.
My F17 GUI is currently busy but if you still want to try I suggest creating and editing an eng file manually. I'd try the whole java path as engine name and would include -jar etc. as parameter. But I don't think it would work.
I've never used Chess22k, but I did manage to get the Carballo java engine working ok in the Fritz 13 GUI a few years ago.
I had to put Polyglot.exe and Wb2Uci.exe in the same folder as the java chess engine together with Carballo.ini and Wb2Uci.eng files.
Those 2 files were as shown below. I hope it helps.
Load Wb2Uci.exe into Fritz when asked in creating a new UCI engine.
