How is Komodo NN progressing ?

Post by Chessqueen »

It seems that Komodo NN is taking the programmer way too long to become better than the AB version why is that ? And how come FAT Fritz is NOT competing in TCEC ? https://tcec-chess.com/
Do NOT worry and be happy, we all live a short life

Fat Fritz was not invited. I'm not sure if they forgot v1.1 release which added considerable more elo.

The reason is that we are trying to do something original, not simply create another net that would play pretty much like any other NN. We're trying to create a hybrid of Komodo and NN that is better than either one would be. But it's quite difficult with no one we can use as a model, and our NN guys work for chess.com and have other tasks than just this one. One of them just switched from part-time to full time, so that should help.

this idea will be the next BIG revolution
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
