Certabo Electronic Chess Board

Post by mephisto »

One of the great advantages of the Certabo software is that it uses an open protocol . This makes it easier for other programmers to create software such as the new UCI driver from Lars Nowak.  This now allows Certabo chess boards to connect to chess programs such as Arena, Fritz, Shredder and in theory virtually all those chess programs that use UCI engines.

With this new driver it is also possible to play against all the old dedicated chess computers via Franz Huber's excellent program CB-Emu Pro which now incorporates MessChess, Arena and Winboard.

You can find these new features, links to videos and more information ... as always on the official website:

i remember reading about a similar electronic chess board a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly it could move automatically the pieces.

Anyone knows its name?
