There are some problems with your text games:
  • They are not in PGN format
  • Look like they are not standard chess or symbols are not in English (e.g., pieces started with characters L, T, S)
How come did you create those files?

Do you know you can easily enter a game by making move by move manually? (Setup a new game with 2 players are human then make move by move)

HI,

First of all, many thanks for offering us your own fantastic GUI (and for free !).

I have a suggestion for you : Would you consider a language "tab", like in Arena GUI, let's say.

It would be great to have Banksia GUI in one's mother tongue.

Maybe your prefer to focus for now on technical improvements.

Anyway, I'm sure that if you agreed to implement multi-languages, many users here could translate for you.

If so, I volunteer for a french translation. I helped for the french translation of Arena GUI back in time.

Thank you again for all your incredible work, and keep up the good work !

Sorry, I can't help since I don't have Chessbase, don't know how to use it and I can't read its German screen either. Just guess the step of exporting/copying your game from Chessbase is incorrect to create a right PGN game text. Hope someone can help.

BTW, you can export games between chess programs via text in PGN format as bellow example. With the current version, BSG can understand chess notation (Pieces characters) in English only.

Wow, thank you very much for your offer of translating!

BSG has already supported multi-languages. However, I turned that function off to focus on vital functions first. Will turn it on soon.

that is what a friend told me he is a Programer

the new tool has problems parsing PGN files :(
there are two problems it does not understand unicode files which is the default generated by Chessbase
and it does not handle comments inside PGN correctly!

Hi Robert

Change your notation to English notation in Chessbase GUI, and it will also work in Banksia GUI. German notation is not supported in Banksia GUI.. :) :)
