Guess the Poster CCC-WordCloud Fun Competition

Post by chrisw »

In the attachments are six WordClouds composed of texts, by individual authors, posted into all CCC forums (less CTF) since records began.

Each attachment has two WordClouds, each WordClouds labelled 1 to 6

So, competition, can you identify the poster from the wordcloud?

Ah - I missed the "prodeo" on my first look. Makes sense.

That’s three people posited for number 6, none right so far.

Bob might be in there and he might not, I did twelve and randomized the ordering. Forum software won’t allow me any more data upload than six wordclouds. So, when this lot are guessed, I’ll upload the next six. Unless somebody offers to host via their own account, in which case you can have them all at once.

How does the WordClouds software work? Does it automatically cut out all the "boring" words (e.g. "the").

it has a stopwords list of its own, which you can call on. I didn’t check exactly what it has in it, but yes, stopwords lists usually take out all those necessary but ‘boring’ words. is the I am and so on and so on. One doesn’t have to use it, or can use other stopword lists.
