Hello,
CB support told me that this company does not plan to release Fritz engines which run only on GPU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_processing_unit systems. If Fritz UCI (in contrast to Fritz GUI) will support Syzygy egtbs, is uncertain; at the moment this software uses Nalimov tablebases.

Norbert

Re: Fritz upcoming editions by ChessBase
Chess engines don't need a GPU to function well....LC0 requires a GPU to handle the complications of the large NN's it is trying to process..The future looks to be the neuro chips...etc...as computer history shows.they are always moving on to "something new" Otherwise how would they get people to "pay extra" for the latest "Revelation?" Chessbase is too smart to play that game..Norbert Raimund Leisner wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 12:25 pm Hello,

I don't think Fritz is marketed to professionals. It is "good enough" to be a strong opponent and a decent analysis engine. It doesn't compete with the top-level engines that are used by professionals, correspondence players, and others who need deep analysis and extremely strong play.

And don't forget it's just rebranded Rybka, so if you want Fritz to support Syzygy egtbs, talk to Vasik Rajlich.
Your beliefs create your reality, so be careful what you wish for.
