Gian-Carlo Pascutto, a computer programmer who works at the Mozilla Corporation, had a track record of building competitive game engines, first in chess, then in Go. He followed the latest research. As the combination of Monte Carlo Tree Search and a neural network became the state of the art in Go A.I.s, Pascutto built the world’s most successful open-source Go engines—first Leela, then LeelaZero—which mirrored the advances made by DeepMind.

Thank you for pointing that out, I forgot that I posted it in the tournament sub-forum. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=71123

Stoofvlees is dutch for simmered meat.
90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

Yes quite interesting Development Stoofvlees NN is also playing in the CCC engines tourney (and doing quite well)

Looks like he has updated The Great Deep Sjeng with some GO code (Monte Carlo) and a Neural Network..lets see if he will ever release a Binary for us Peons to test..Seems this engine has been under wraps for quite a while meanwhile his old Sjeng.org site is still operational and looking for engine buyers? Sjeng 2.7 (Mayura GUI) is one of my favorite engines but you can only test it for one month then it 'self destructs' ditto for Sjeng v2.5..... :D

Stoof vlees "Stove flesh" needs a logo.
We need the same logo designer who made the giant cheese balls for Andscacs.
It would be Ragoût in French, or Pottage in old English.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Down in 7th place in CCC, close to Komodo MCTS. Not many games of course, but I've played 400+ games with it and for me on my set-up it performs about that level, with engines like Fire 7.1, Komodo MCTS, Ethereal for company for example. But CEGT have it very much better than that, around +100 to +150 above that level. They have it above Houdini 6 for example.
