I received a nice gift from my wife recently. I had mentioned that my laptop was over 10 years old. She bought me an Acer Chromebook, which saved money compared to many laptops. My question is what can a chromebook do in computer chess? I am aware of some online chess programs, but apparently an OS is needed to run programs, or at least more than the chrome OS. Any ideas... So I'll keep the old unit for now.
Thanks,
Mark Loftus

Re: Chromebook and Computer Chess
If your Chromebook supports Google Play Store then you can install any Computer Chess App and software that can be installed on an Android:

Otherwise... an OS is needed to run programs.
