depth with speed relation

stockfish for example:

i noticed something "strange" about 2 different compilations from the same source
the first is 12% faster but the depth is a little smaller than the slower one
example 4500kn/s depth to 30 130 secs
4000kn/s depth to 30 122 secs
average after 30 trials
can anyone explain that?
