Hi John,

Elo formula is right.
Opinions about Elo is quite different.

Shredder 12 = 2.800 Elo = opinion after self playing from GM Meyer (around the year 2010, interview for Schachwelt).
GM Meyer speaking from one core on Dual Core Notebook with 7300er Intel processor.

SWCR (Schach-Welt-Computer-Ratings) ... rating list at this time for "Schachwelt newspaper" by GM Hickl was calculate with Shredder Elo 2.800. Also FCP Rating List, CEGT ratings, IPON ratings.

Wasp 3.50 = around 2.920 Elo if Shredder 12 = 2.800 Elo.
DGT Pi = 1.2Ghz = Wasp 3.60 should have around 2.625 Elo.

Correct ratings for the older chess computer:
Mach III = 1.860
Mach IV = 1.940

The average from chess computer ratings in SSDF = 40 Elo to high.

In the last days I produced much more games vs. Super Conny (1630 Elo correct Elo) or SciSys Stratos (1740 Elo correct Elo), Atlanta 40Mhz (2120 Elo correct Elo). Results vs. the levels you created are absolutely right. No reason to changed anything here.

At the moment (30 seconds per move games):
Wasp 3.60 with 1668 vs. Tiger Grenadier (1660 Elo), 3.5 : 2.5
Wasp 3.60 with 1668 vs. Novag Super Constellation (1630), 2.5 : 3.5
Wasp 3.60 with 1780 vs. SciSys Stratos D with EGR2 (1740), 4.0 : 2.0
Wasp 3.60 with 2116 vs. Mephisto Atlanta 40Mhz (2120), 1,5 : 2,5
Wasp 3.60 with 1948 vs. Frank Quisinsky (after 94 games vs. different chess computers = 2041 Elo), 4,5 : 7,5 at the moment

This are my latest results in testing.
Again, all looks perfect for me.

Best
Frank

CCRL is much higher as all the other ratings.
Elo in US is much higher as Elo here.
Elo from computer chess wiki is 140-150 higher as SSDF (for chess computers).
And Elo SSDF is 30 Elo higher as the reality is.

So around 2.350 Elo for an example should be enough for TheKing from Millennium on DGT Pi.
2150 Elo have Chess Genius Pro with 120 Mhz, 2.225 Elo have Exclusive Genius Pro with 300 Mhz.

Hi Ted,

Me neither. I love Christopher’s videos.

I have my RPi 3b+ overclocked to 1.5 GHz and am using all 4 cores where available on my DGT Pi using a Noctua fan, both from watching his videos.

As you said, it’s great fun ....

Al.
