middle phase test positions - have you considered ECM (Encyclopedia of Chess Middlegames)?

There is a cleaned up version of this test suite available (ecmgcp), see https://arasanchess.org/tests.shtml.

Added Lc0 distilled 64x6 blas backend. Very good result in opening and tactical.

Ah that is interesting! How up to date it is? I bought one from Chess Informant a couple of years ago with 3300+ positions (and solutions) but found mistakes early on by head, then confirmed by engine on my mobile.
