I can't seem to get it to work. It won't register at all on Fritz 17 using "minic_1.09_mingw_x64_x86-64.exe" on Windows 10. I am not sure what mingw is so maybe that's the reason. It registered in Arena but wouldn't play.

Strongly agree with Gabor. JaksaH never "claimed" that it is very strong engine, but it is authentic and very stable engine that's been present in the computer chess world since 2004. I am grateful to all chess folks who include it in their tests/tournaments.
Hopefully there will be PV output in the next version.

You can start Minic UCI mode using the -uci command line option.

You can start Minic UCI mode using the -uci command line option.
And even for xboard mode you need to use the -xboard command line option.

This is new to me. And I believe that most UCI compliant GUI's do not like when command line switches decide about the protocol. You will have to edit the engine file or, most probably, create it yourself altogether because automatic installation is impossible.

In cutechess there is no problem adding option to command line. In winboard, it is fine also.
Indeed you can always package the engine in a script that does not take any option and call Minic with the option you need.
But as this very often raise question, I think I will set Minic in UCI mode by default in next release.

MORA 1.1.0 is now available.
https://github.com/gonzaloarro/MORA-CHESS-ENGINE

I added support to set the size of the transposition table with the UCI setoption command. I also fixed a bug related to the pawn hash table.
