Thank you so much for this! This really gives a better idea of what kind of hardware to get the most cost effective performance. One question I have is how scaling affects all this. For example how does 2 x RTX 2060 Ti compare to a RTX Titan or RTX 2080Ti. This might also be helpful in choosing the most cost effective hardware. Again thanks for putting all this together.

RTX 2060 Ti doesn't exist and it never will.
OTOH, 2x2060 is superior to both Titan and 2080Ti unless you use LTC.

another question:(if sf elo=lc0)12 cores cpu=> 2080ti?, amd 2990x 32 cores=> 2x 2080ti?

Ah ok, thanks for that information. I guess there is an RTX 2060 but not the Ti version. So 2 x 2060 RTX will outperform an RTX Titan? At about $350 for each that would still be way below the price of a Titan $2500! After reading on the LCO forum it seems the maximum scaling as of now is 3 cards, so you could go 3 x 2060 cards and still be at less than $1000. 3 x rtx 2070 would be around $1500 and even 3 x rtx 2080 would be about $500 less than a Titan.

I still don't understand how LC0 is using the hardware, but I feel there is a lot of performance to be gained by tuning the drivers to use the hardware better and scaling better with multiple GPU's. It is still pretty incredible how quickly LC0 has progressed!
