In last year interview, Caruana said , it would worth buying Alpha Zero for $100k, but practically can he get Leela Zero for $0 now. (One Leela tester tested that , A0 and Lco hass exactly same strength in case they were running on home hardware)

due to the fact that nearly every chess player on earth know: chess pros are using Leela.

Breaking news: They are using also Stockfish, Houdini and Komodo

It goes without saying Lc0 would be an asset but I was hoping (if it’s possible) fabi would take it to the next level, & have networks trained entirely on specific openings. I think some of the more complex ones could be significantly resolved.

If he spent 100k usd (of Rex sinquedields money) training such nets and magnus stumbles into one losing line it’d be worth it.

Leela Chess Zero has found very original ideas in the opening and is positionally superior to alphabeta engines, which makes it ideal for preparing openings. However, its tactical weakness makes it necessary to carefully check these ideas with a program like Stockfish.
