Thanks to Michael, there is indeed SF 9 on https://github.com/official-stockfish/S ... ssues/1383. It's working on my phone, but it probably doesn't support iPad Pro and the newer iPhones.

Should we publish it to the App Store?

I wonder how fast/strong it will be on the iPad Pro 11 !?
SF 9 on the new iPad Pro will be *far* stronger than any human on the planet, that's for sure. Here are some comparisons of the A12X cpu to other commonly used CPUs:

In reality, SF9 even on an iPad that was made in the last few years that was already true. :-)
Stronger than any human?

Lyudmil Tsvekov wont be happy with your claim. He said "he can win stockfish easily" . The debate become the most popular thread in chess.com forum with 7000+ posts and is still ongoing.πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€”

Lyudmil is a guy who is smart enough to have figured out that good and bad hype are still generally good for sales.

And one of the best ways to create hype is to repeatedly make the most ridiculous, outrageous claims possible.

Hence, "Kasparov is weak", "Carlsen is the worst", "I can beat Stockfish easily" and so on...

And then get an authority to validate said claims.

Hence his begging titled players for book reviews behind the scenes (and some being liberal enough to give a good review to 'help him along'") and the combination of these two elements mean his eBooks sales will soar.

OUTRAGEOUS CLAIM+PROOF*=SALES

*proof, in this case being perceived proof, since the unsuspecting buyer will assume the titled player wasn't begged for the review.

I used to think he was deluded, but now I just think his approach was all a marketing gimmick.

It would be nice to have a decent chess app though which can do everything. Apple has the speed but the apps are lacking, for chess.
Apple devices generally are slower than their counterpart for the same selling price. Anything particularly you want from iOS?

Well, I find "Analyze This Chess" to have pretty decent features so that I can analyse subvariations.... and as confirmed now, also includes SF9!
So it ticks maybe 90% of the boxes for me.
What I would like to see added is an opening book to it.
