Leela & Cuda

Post by Lion »

Hello,

I installed Leela and CUDA files on my 1060 computer/GPU.
Leela calculates at about 10 kn/s in Fritz 16 GUI but depth of calculation seems much lower than before installing the CUDA version. It’s now usually around depth 5 while before CUDA install it was at around 20.

Is it just the wrong depth reported or is there something wrong with my install?

It is not 'wrong', but defined differently as before in LCZ, this is just a design decision.
If you don't like it you can recompile LC0 and exchange seldepth/depth in the output,
or use inbetween (example was given already by me IIRC).

Thanks for the response.
What is strange is that I did run a small games test vs dev Stockfish and the CUDA version performed at least 400 ELO below the non CUDA version!??
