The official v1.8 exec needs a Haswell (or later) CPU. This release provides execs that work on older archs. The changes to the latest code required to make that work are in the included .diff patch.
Thanks Tirsa. :-)

Funny, I was just randomly browsing the RuyDos repository, when I saw a new commit come up, the first one since March. The comment for the commit is:

evaluate.cpp from J.M., unchecked; I might regret this ;)

This is not an official version, just a development version 1.1.8.

Yes, I haven't been able to spend any time on RuyDos, but José Manuel Morán just sent me an updated evaluation module. He claims to have tested it thoroughly, but he is not a programmer, and there have been situations in the past when he has been a bit too creative with the syntax. I intend to check his work when I have some time, but he wanted to make the changes available for Sergio Martínez's tournament, so I pushed them through.

I made the executable files available in the "Downloads" section, although I don't think I should announce a new version until I do some due diligence.

I released Frank-Walter 2.2.1, it can be found on Ron's Computer-chess.org: http://computer-chess.org/doku.php?id=c ... lter:index

The main difference is that the distribution now also holds a windows DLL to connect my Java program to Syzygy tablebases. Also I made some changes to how alpha nodes are stored in the TT.

Oh thanks for that.
If you know how to (easily) cross-compile for MacOS from a debian, i can make that available myself.
I found that https://github.com/tpoechtrager/osxcross but I lack courage for now...

Hi Norbert

Unfortunately I can not download Minic for Windows. The engine simply does not want to be created as new UCI engine in Fritz Interface. The field of the author is empty...

Hi,

Minic is XBoard not UCI and needs the "-xboard" command line argument to start.
